Adobe eBooks users: changes to Adobe eBook usage as of March 25, 2009

Adobe® Systems Inc. required OverDrive (our technology partner for this website), as well as all other companies using Adobe technology to digitally protect eBooks, to upgrade to the latest Adobe technology for eBook protection.

This means that Adobe eBooks downloaded from this site on or after March 25 can only be used with Adobe Digital Editions. These titles cannot be used on Adobe Reader 6 or 7, Adobe Reader for Palm OS, or Adobe Reader for Pocket PC. Additionally, Adobe Digital Editions does not support the 'read aloud' of content.

If you would like to transfer Adobe eBooks to a device, the Sony Reader models PRS-700 as well as PRS-505 support Adobe eBooks. Please be assured that if in the future additional handheld devices support Adobe eBooks, we will update the Help pages at this site, alerting users to the expanded support.
