When you come across an available title that you may want to check out, you can click 'Add to eCart' to place the title in your personal eCart. Placing a title in your eCart is like placing it on temporary reserve; as long as the title is in your eCart, it will remain available for you to check out. Please note that the system will automatically remove a title from your eCart 30 minutes after you have placed it there, making the title available to other patrons at your library. How many titles can I have in my My eCart at the same time? Our system allows you to put up to 22 titles in your My eCart at the same time. If you have decided against checking out a particular title, you can click the 'remove' link to pull it from your My eCart. Please note that the system will automatically remove a title from your My eCart 30 minutes after you have placed it there, making it available to other patrons at your library. How long will a title in my My eCart remain there? Once you add a title to your My eCart, it will remain there for 30 minutes. Once 30 minutes have elapsed, the title will be automatically returned to the collection, making it available to other patrons at your library. How many titles can I have checked out at the same time? You can have up to 20 titles checked out at any given time. When I check out a title, for how many days do I get to keep it? The lending period for eFlicks is 7 days. The lending period for all other digital materials is typically 21 days, but the lending period can differ from title to title. The lending period for each item is clearly displayed with other details about the title. Once the lending period is over, what happens to the title I checked out? You do not need to return a borrowed item. Once the lending period has elapsed, the title is automatically 'returned' to the library. Although the file(s) will remain on your machine, the file(s) will no longer be accessible. Please review the instructions below for deleting your titles after they have expired. Why do I get an error when I try to log into my eAccount? If you have just recently registered for a temporary library card, you will have to visit a Denver Public Library to complete the registration process. You must have a permanent library card number to use eMedia. If your permanent card is blocked or your account is not in good standing, you may not check out eMedia. Please call or visit your Denver Public Library or contact support. In your correspondence, please include your name and library card number. If you replaced your library card while you had eMedia on hold, you will not be able to use the new number to pick up your hold. Please contact support and include your new library card number, your e-mail address and, if possible, your previous library card number and the title(s) you have on hold. |
